The Latchback RD (regular door) is a two way door latch that was invented as a safety measure to prevent young children from exiting the house and entering a pool area. It is designed for use with a standard swing door and latches automatically when the door is closed. The Latchback RD is installed 54″ above the floor, and can be disengaged when children are not present. It is also intended to be used as a protective measure for special needs persons that are flight risks, such as people with Autism, sleepwalkers, and adults with dementia. The Latchback RD can be opened from the inside and outside.
